The fabled “princess moment” of finding her dream dress was in full effect at Oxford High School as more than 100 girls enjoyed the second annual Say Yes to the Dress formalwear event. The program is the brainchild of OHS girls’ fitness teacher Rose Hickey, who said she started it to give girls from Oxford, Lafayette, South Panola, and Water Valley schools the opportunity to experience the glamor of trying on gowns in their size. She says they can even complete their look with shoes and jewelry donated by local businesses.
