Miss Cannes Film Festival 2016 was a wonderful success, this talent and beauty competition was celebrated at the prestigious Intercontinental Carlton Hotel in Cannes on the 17th of May 2016.
The Management of this pageant showcased eleven women from around the world, a wonderful display of beauty, artistic talents, singers, comedy, dance, paint, music and modelling
The first edition of Miss Cannes Film Festival 2016 took place during the International Cannes Film Festival 2016 in the heart of the city of Cannes – the iconic Croisette.
Miss Cannes Film Festival TM was organized and produced by a team of three experts in fashion, promotions, entertainment and communications – lead by Patricia Constanza of DAMA Branding International, Carolien ter Linden of Passarella Moda and Fred Guillet of EventsbyFred.
The night of the event was hosted by co-producer and model Carolien ter Linden, as the room was filled with personalities, honourable guests, royalties and international press – the start of the night was by the internationally well-known singer ANIA J Jasinska. ANIA J is the current voice for Fashion TV – she choreographed together with the entire finalists a spectacular vocal performance that was harmonised with a gorgeous bikini runway fashion.
The selection of all the finalists was preceded by an international professional judging panel; actors, filmmakers, choreographers, fashion designers – personalities and celebrities – The eminence of the jury members and organisers attracted candidates from all countries around the world – countries like France, Italy, UK, Russia, Lithuania, Moldova to name a few. The competition was open to all women that fitted the criteria of beauty – talent and exceptional abilities.
The ‘Talent Call’ – ‘per-selection casting’- took place at the prominent Diamond School in Cannes, which is well known for its training in fashion, dance, art and stage.
During the show the contestants wore collections from various Internationals Haute Couture designers like; Dalinda “Paris France”, Hany El Behairy “Le Caire Egypt”, Elie Feghaly “Lebanon” and Addy van den Krommenacker from the “Netherlands”.
For the bikini runway, the contestants emerged in two beautiful swimwear collection brands; Vakanza from San Francisco and Crystal Dust from Geneva Switzerland.
The winner of the 1st edition of 2016 Miss Cannes Film Festival was Doriana Stetenco from Moldova, the two other awards were – MISS ART et COUTURE won by the lovely Messika Camara, Star of Africa and the beautiful MISS CANNES GLAMOUR was Olia Krivitkaia from Moldova.
The three tiaras were specially designed and handmade by DeTiara jewellery brand from Monaco, each customized tiara wreath was unique, each title holder; Miss Cannes Film festival 2016, Miss Art et Couture and Miss Glamour Cannes had these tiaras as inclusion on their prizes list.
Our sponsors were happy to support this wonderful event as the exposure for their brands was enormous, they also mingled with all the guests – celebrities and enjoyed sharing red carpet pictures and selfies with all the finalists. All our guests also enjoyed champagne and delicious appetizers prepared by the chefs of the Intercontinental Carlton.
The Winner of Miss Cannes Film Festival Doriana received several gifts; the beautiful handmade crown with diamonds, a gift cheque value 10.000 euros from the Dutch brand Karmaloog, a “Bosch by Addy” dress and shawl from Dutch designer Addy van den Krommenacker, Red Carpet eau de perfume, a limited edition hair straightener with 18 kt diamonds by Dutch hair stylist Hedwich Vigelandzoon CEO Grand Salon Maîtres de Coiffure, luxury cosmetic products by Laura de Gianni and shoes from Divae. And last but not least an exclusive interview at FAB UK Magazine, Glam LA Magazine and an amazing exposure in the video produced by Art in Fusion TV, publication in Lourens and Talkies and Passarella Moda Magazine.
